Cities & Towns
A downloadable game
Cities and towns are the center of life in the kingdom. They are the engines of economic growth and opportunity, the hubs of cultural and scientific innovation, in a land of deep-rooted feudalism. The wealth from their trade routes gives them much influence with the Monarch, who may grant them independence by charter and control of their own lands. But this in turn is the cause of much conflict with the local nobles who wish to maintain their inherited lands, wealth and power. Independent cities use diplomacy and war to further their own goals, sometimes in coordination with the Monarch, at other times all on their own.
This is a simple system for including cities and towns in domain-level play of Into the Odd by Chris McDowall and Cairn by Yochai Gal.
For use with Warfare.

It's super useful! Thanks! One thing I struggle with is coming up with hostile npcs quickly but seeing this makes it easier to apply the ideas to npcs
Thank you! And, yes, same: having a larger community context really does help with shaping NPCs on the fly.
